The Deplorable Grammys! Antidote, “RABBONI!”

February 18, 2016 By Jeremiah Ginsberg

If you watched, yawned and suffered through the Grammys last Monday evening as Wendy and I did and grimaced at the deplorable state of entertainment today, you would pray for us! You would cheer us on as we revive our marvelously “clean” and “godly” award-winning Messianic Gospel musical on the life, death and resurrection of the Greatest Hero who ever walked the streets of this earth, the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua.

Move over rap musical, “Hamilton” as the beautiful, much-acclaimed “Rabboni” melodies take Broadway by storm. This is undoubtedly God’s antidote to a sickening blight which has overtaken, gripped and degraded society! We first produced our artistic hit musical at the off-Broadway Perry Street Theatre for 88 performances in 1985 to the critic’s delight. We suspended rehearsals for a Broadway opening at the Minskoff Theatre then because as it turns out, now is the set and appointed time!

Sorry if the truth hurts but what have the sheep of the world’s tastebuds degenerated into? And, what’s next? What evil tirade against the goodness of God’s glorious creation will follow?

Well, we at Jeremiah Theatricals are taking exception to the whole unclean shebang and are mounting “Rabboni” up on the wings of eagles to take Broadway back from the clutches of darkness and evil for the sake of “whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” (Phil.4:8)

How great it is that we are flying to Memphis this Saturday to conduct auditions for the first step of a Broadway revival of “Rabboni.” Come to Memphis on April 15th, 16th and 17th at the Colonial Baptist Church and see the outstanding Messianic artist, Jonathan Settel, cut his dramatic teeth on his exciting premiere performance of the role of Mendel Moskowitz, the Russian-Jewish fruit and vegetable merchant from Brooklyn!

You can help to support this great theatrical outreach on the Broadway stage to a worldwide audience by signing up on our email list and becoming a sponsor or investor in Rabboni The Musical.

Thank you, and God bless you! Jeremiah

Rabboni, the Transformer

January 14, 2016 By Jeremiah Ginsberg

When sickening events like San Bernardino happen with as much regularity as walking to the corner store to buy groceries, it is time for caring citizens to fight back, not with guns and knives and hate-filled rhetoric, but with the utensils a loving God has given us to build bridges, succor the hurting  and healing the wounds that barbaric beasts have inflicted on all too many! Even the all-too-frequent loss of loved-ones!

We are doing just that with our offering on the Broadway stage that will inject love and not hate into the hearts of audiences the world over. It has been well-noted that legislation to remove guns from circulation cannot work when rampant barbarism and hatred can inflict devastation with bombs, knives and ramming-cars as we have seen all too often in Israel and elsewhere throughout the world.

So, we at Jeremiah Theatricals have decided to seed love into the human condition by producing Rabboni The Musical in one of the most prominent places for it to be seen, the Broadway theatre. It is the story of the life, death and resurrection of the greatest Jewish innovator that ever walked the earth!  No, it is not about Albert Einstein or his theory of relativity or Jonas Salk, the inventor of the lifesaving polio vaccine, Theodor Herzl or Moses that we speak, but Yeshua, the Savior and of His great love and sacrificial act for all humanity!

See it and be inspired to love your neighbors and not to hate, kill and maim them! That is our contribution. Please join us in our inspirational journey to the Broadway stage, starting in Memphis, at the Colonial Baptist Church on April 15th, 16th and 17th or on Livestream as we inject the love of God into living rooms and parlors around the globe!

Written with love and hope for the human condition!
